Castone supplied 300,000 square feet of architectural precast concrete in up-to-21-ton, buff-colored wall panels for the Civic Center's sleek exterior. As specified by the architect, the smooth-surfaced panels had structural ribs on the back for reinforcement and for holding insulation to muffle noise from the airport's flight path overhead.
